Search Overview

How to search for flights in MileIntel — cash prices, award availability, and value comparisons all in one place.

Overview

MileIntel Search finds flights and shows you the smartest way to book them — whether that's cash, miles, or a combination. Instead of bouncing between airline sites and award search tools, you get everything in one view.

How It Works

  1. Enter Your Route — Type your origin, destination, and travel dates. You can use airport codes (JFK, NRT) or city names (New York, Tokyo).
  2. Choose Your Style — Search with the standard form, or switch to natural language and just type what you want.
  3. Review Results — Each result shows the cash price, miles cost (if award seats are available), and MileIntel's value comparison so you know which option gives you more for your money.
  4. Filter & Refine — Narrow results by cabin class, stops, airline, price range, departure time, and duration.

Key Details

  • Search covers major airlines and alliances. Award availability is sourced in real-time where possible.
  • Results include a value comparison — MileIntel tells you whether paying cash or using miles is the better deal for each flight.
  • One-way and round-trip searches are both supported. Multi-city requires separate searches for each leg.
  • Search history is saved so you can quickly re-run previous queries.

Tips

  • Be flexible on dates if you can. Even shifting by a day or two can reveal dramatically better award availability.
  • Use the Price Calendar to visualize pricing across an entire month.
  • Check the Buy or Wait indicator before booking — it might save you real money.
