Delete Your Account
Permanently delete your MileIntel account and all associated data — here's the process and what happens after.
Overview
You can permanently delete your MileIntel account at any time. This removes all your data from our servers. It's irreversible, so we walk you through what happens before you confirm.
How to Delete
- Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Read the summary of what will be deleted.
- Type "DELETE" to confirm.
- Click Permanently Delete Account.
You'll receive a confirmation email. Your account is deactivated immediately and all data is purged within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
- Your profile and authentication credentials.
- All trips, flights, and calendar events.
- Wallet data — loyalty program balances and connections.
- AI findings, recommendations, and analysis history.
- Notification preferences and alert history.
- Family group membership (you're removed from any group).
- Billing information (Stripe deletes your payment method).
- Extension sessions (automatically signed out).
What Happens to Active Subscriptions
If you have a paid plan, deleting your account also cancels your subscription. Any remaining time on your current billing period is forfeited — there's no prorated refund for account deletion. If you want a prorated refund, cancel your subscription first, then delete the account at the end of the billing period.
Key Details
- Account deletion is permanent. There's no way to recover your data after the 30-day purge.
- If you're the owner of a family group, the group is disbanded. Members keep their individual accounts.
- Your data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which backups are rotated.
Tips
- Before deleting, use Data Export to download your trips, wallet, and expense data. Once the account is gone, there's no retrieval.
