Privacy & Data Access
What data MileIntel accesses, how it's stored, and your rights — transparent answers to common privacy questions.
Overview
MileIntel accesses travel-related data to do its job — loyalty balances, booking confirmations, calendar events, and flight details. Here's a transparent look at what's accessed, what's stored, and what you control.
What MileIntel Accesses
- Gmail — booking confirmation emails only. MileIntel uses keyword filters to target travel-related emails and ignores everything else. Raw email content is not retained after parsing.
- Google Calendar — event titles, dates, and locations for travel detection. Non-travel events are read but not stored.
- Loyalty programs — balances and status from programs you've connected. Credentials are encrypted at rest.
- Browser data (extension) — flight search results on supported sites. No browsing history or non-travel pages.
What MileIntel Stores
- Your profile info (name, email, home airport, preferences).
- Trip details (routes, dates, flight numbers, confirmation codes).
- Wallet balances and program memberships.
- AI findings and recommendations generated for your account.
- Usage analytics (page views, feature usage) for product improvement.
Your Rights
- Access — export all your data at any time (Settings > Data Export).
- Correction — edit any stored data through the app.
- Deletion — delete your account and all associated data permanently (Settings > Delete Account).
- Portability — export data in standard formats (JSON, CSV).
Key Details
- MileIntel never sells your data to third parties.
- AI analysis of your data is done server-side on MileIntel infrastructure — not sent to external services beyond the AI provider.
- You can disconnect any data source (Gmail, Calendar) independently without affecting other features.
Tips
- Review Settings > Connected Accounts periodically to see what's linked and revoke anything you no longer need.
