Connect Google Calendar

Link your Google Calendar to MileIntel so travel events sync automatically — choose which calendars to include.

Overview

Connecting Google Calendar lets MileIntel detect travel events, avoid scheduling conflicts, and optionally write trip details back to your calendar. The setup takes about 30 seconds.

How to Connect

  1. Go to Settings > Connected Accounts.
  2. Click Connect Google Calendar.
  3. Sign in with your Google account and grant MileIntel calendar access.
  4. Choose which calendars to sync. You'll see a list of all calendars on your account — personal, work, shared. Check the ones that contain travel events.
  5. Click Save.

MileIntel begins syncing immediately. Your first sync may take a minute if you have years of calendar history.

Permissions Requested

  • Read calendar events — MileIntel scans event titles, dates, and locations for travel signals (flight numbers, hotel names, airport codes).
  • Write calendar events (optional) — Only used if you enable calendar write-back in Settings. This creates events for upcoming flights and hotel stays.

MileIntel never modifies or deletes your existing calendar events.

Key Details

  • You can connect multiple Google accounts if you have separate work and personal calendars.
  • Sync runs automatically every 15 minutes. You can force a manual sync from Settings > Connected Accounts.
  • To disconnect, click Disconnect next to Google Calendar in Settings. Your MileIntel trips remain — only the sync link is removed.

Tips

  1. If your work calendar has travel booked by an assistant, connect that account too. MileIntel will pick up those trips automatically.
