Profile Settings

Update your name, home airport, timezone, cabin preference, and other profile details that shape your MileIntel experience.

Overview

Your profile settings tell MileIntel who you are and how you travel. The more accurate these are, the better your recommendations.

How to Access

Go to Settings > Profile from the sidebar or the account menu in the top bar.

Settings You Can Change

  • Display name — how your name appears in the app and on shared trips. Pulled from Google at signup, editable anytime.
  • Email — your Google account email. This is read-only (tied to your OAuth identity) but is used for billing receipts and alert emails.
  • Home airport — your primary departure airport (e.g., JFK, LAX, ORD). This is critical for Best Path calculations, price alerts, and route recommendations. Set it to the airport you fly from most.
  • Timezone — auto-detected from your browser but adjustable. Affects notification timing, quiet hours, and how flight times display.
  • Cabin preference — your default cabin class (economy, premium economy, business, first). New trips inherit this preference. Best Path uses it to prioritize upgrade recommendations.
  • Dietary preferences — used by TCC's dining recommendations to surface restaurants matching your dietary needs at the airport.

Key Details

  • Profile changes save instantly — no "Save" button needed. You'll see a confirmation toast.
  • Your home airport affects which routes MileIntel monitors proactively. Changing it updates your shared route subscriptions.
  • Cabin preference is a default, not a lock. You can override it per trip.

Tips

  1. Set your home airport before doing anything else. It's the single most impactful setting for recommendation quality.
