Overview
The Entry Requirements tool tells you what documents and preparations you need before arriving at your destination. It covers visa requirements, passport validity rules, health documentation, and customs restrictions for 30+ countries — currently focused on US citizen travelers.
What's Included
For each destination country, you'll see:
- Visa status — Visa-free, visa on arrival, eVisa, or embassy visa required. Includes maximum stay duration and any registration requirements.
- Passport rules — Minimum validity required (often 6 months beyond travel dates) and blank page requirements.
- Health documentation — Required or recommended vaccinations, COVID-related policies if still active, and any health declaration forms.
- Customs notes — Import restrictions, duty-free limits, and anything you should know before packing.
How It Appears
When you create a trip with an international destination, entry requirements appear automatically as a card on your trip detail page. You can also search any country from the Entry Requirements section under Premium.
Airport-to-Country Mapping
MileIntel maps destination airport codes to countries automatically, so a flight to NRT shows Japan's requirements without you needing to look up which country the airport is in.

Tips
- Check requirements as soon as you book — some visas take weeks to process.
