WebMobile
Mobile vs. Desktop Features
MileIntel works on both platforms with near-complete feature parity — here's what's different and what's identical.
Overview
MileIntel is designed as a responsive web app, which means nearly every feature works on both desktop and mobile. There are a few differences in layout and interaction patterns, but no features are locked to a single platform.
Identical on Both
- All trip management (create, edit, view, delete)
- Wallet and loyalty program tracking
- Desk AI assistant
- Flight search and results
- Alerts and notification management
- Calendar view and sync
- Billing and plan management
- All settings and preferences
- Travel Command Center (all tabs)
Desktop Advantages
- Sidebar navigation — faster section switching on wide screens.
- Keyboard shortcuts — power user efficiency.
- Multi-panel layouts — trip list + TCC detail side by side in the expanding panel.
- Globe visualization — the 3D globe renders at full detail on desktop.
- Extension support — the Chrome extension only runs in desktop browsers.
Mobile Advantages
- Push notifications — more immediate than desktop browser notifications.
- Haptic feedback — physical confirmation for actions.
- Location-aware features — TCC can use your GPS for airport navigation.
- Bottom tab bar — optimized for one-handed use.
- Pull to refresh — natural touch gesture for forcing data sync.
Key Details
- The responsive layout adapts at 768px. Below that, you get the mobile experience. Above, desktop.
- TCC terminal maps work on both platforms but use touch gestures (pinch/drag) on mobile and mouse (scroll/click) on desktop.
- PDF exports (Portfolio Audit, expense reports) render identically regardless of platform.
Tips
- Use desktop for trip planning sessions and deep wallet analysis. Use mobile when you're at the airport and need real-time TCC data.
