Sign In to the Extension
Authenticate the MileIntel extension with your Google account to connect your wallet and enable inline flight insights.
Overview
The extension needs your MileIntel account to show personalized loyalty data. Sign-in uses Google OAuth — the same flow as the web app. No separate password to remember.
How to Sign In
- Click the MileIntel icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- The popup shows a Sign in with Google button. Click it.
- A Google sign-in window opens. Choose the Google account linked to your MileIntel account.
- Grant the requested permissions (same as the web app).
- The window closes and the extension popup now shows your wallet summary.
You're signed in. The extension stays authenticated until you explicitly sign out or clear your browser data.
Troubleshooting
Issue: "No MileIntel account found" after signing in. Fix: You signed in with a different Google account than the one linked to MileIntel. Click your avatar in the popup, sign out, and try again with the correct account.Issue: Sign-in window doesn't open. Fix: Check if your browser is blocking popups. Allow popups from the Chrome extension page, then try again.Issue: Extension shows "Session expired." Fix: Click the extension icon and sign in again. Sessions can expire after extended periods of inactivity or browser updates.Key Details
- The extension stores a session token locally in Chrome's secure storage. It never stores your Google password.
- Signing out of the extension doesn't sign you out of the MileIntel web app (and vice versa).
- If you use multiple Chrome profiles, you'll need to install and sign in to the extension separately in each profile.
Tips
- Use the same Google account for both the web app and extension. This ensures your wallet, trips, and preferences stay in sync.
