Update Payment Method

Change your credit card or billing information in a few clicks — your subscription continues without interruption.

Overview

If your card expires, you get a new card, or you just want to switch payment methods, you can update your billing info without affecting your subscription.

How to Update

  1. Go to Settings > Plan & Billing.
  2. Click Payment Method (shows your current card's last four digits).
  3. Click Update Card.
  4. Enter your new card details in the Stripe-hosted form.
  5. Click Save.

The new card takes effect immediately. Your next charge will go to the updated card.

What's Supported

  • Credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover.
  • Debit cards — any debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo.

MileIntel uses Stripe for payment processing. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe — MileIntel never sees or stores your full card number, CVV, or expiration date.

Key Details

  • Updating your card does not change your billing date or plan.
  • If a payment failed due to an expired card, updating the card triggers an automatic retry within 24 hours.
  • You can only have one payment method on file at a time. The new card replaces the old one.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Card update fails with "card declined." Fix: Verify the card number, expiration, and CVV. Some banks block online transactions by default — call your bank to authorize the charge from Stripe.

Tips

  1. Set a calendar reminder to update your card a week before it expires. A failed payment can temporarily suspend premium features.
