Extension on Google Flights

See your wallet balances and point valuations right on Google Flights search results — compare cash vs. miles instantly.

Overview

Google Flights is where most people start a flight search. The MileIntel extension adds a loyalty intelligence layer directly on the results page, so you can compare cash prices against your miles and points without opening another tab.

What You See

When you search for flights on Google Flights with the extension active:

  • Wallet badges appear next to each flight result showing the equivalent cost in your loyalty currencies. For example: "47,500 United miles" or "38,000 UR points via Hyatt transfer."
  • Value indicator — a green, yellow, or red dot tells you whether the points redemption is above, at, or below average value. Green means you're getting more than the standard cents-per-point valuation.
  • Best option tag — the flight with the highest overall value (considering cash price, available miles, and transfer options) gets a "Best Move" badge.
  • Quick wallet panel — click any badge to expand a panel showing all redemption options for that flight across your connected programs.

How It Works

The extension reads the flight results on the page (airline, route, price, cabin), sends that data to MileIntel's API, and receives back valuations based on your wallet balances. All processing happens server-side — the extension itself is lightweight.

Key Details

  • The overlay appears within 1-2 seconds of results loading.
  • Works on both one-way and round-trip searches.
  • Supports economy, premium economy, business, and first class results.

Tips

  1. Sort Google Flights by price, then scan the MileIntel badges. The cheapest cash fare isn't always the best deal once you factor in your points.
