Air France's New Nashville and San Diego Nonstops: Should You Wait for Them?
Three weekly A350 flights to Paris start in May 2027. Here is who benefits, where the schedule limits you and which alternatives keep flying.
The short version
If you live near Nashville or San Diego and are planning a Paris trip for summer 2027, you may soon have a nonstop option instead of a connection. Air France has announced nonstop flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to both cities (Simple Flying).
The tradeoff is frequency. Each route runs only three times a week, so the nonstop works best if your travel dates are flexible.

Nashville: from May 14, 2027
Air France plans to start CDG–Nashville (BNA) on May 14, 2027. It will run three weekly Airbus A350-900 flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (Simple Flying).
The published schedule, in local times:
- AF38 leaves Paris at 2:10 PM and lands at 4:40 PM.
- AF39 leaves Nashville at 6:55 PM and reaches Paris at 10:15 AM the next day.
Simple Flying reports that booking data for the 12 months to July 2026 showed Paris was Nashville's largest European market without a nonstop flight. It also says Air France will become a record fourth airline linking Nashville with Europe.
San Diego: confirm the first date
San Diego International Airport says Air France will fly to CDG three times a week on an Airbus A350, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (SAN). The airport also calls San Diego the largest U.S. market without nonstop service to Paris.
Check Air France directly for the first flight date before you plan around the opening weeks.
Simple Flying lists the planned flights, in local times:
- AF58 leaves Paris at 10:10 AM and lands at 12:50 PM.
- AF59 leaves San Diego at 3:10 PM and reaches Paris at 11:05 AM the next day.
The same report says San Diego will become Air France's longest U.S. route, overtaking Los Angeles.
How to weigh the nonstop against connections
Use the table below to see which other European airlines plan to serve each city next summer. A simple decision rule:
- Flexible dates, and Paris is your destination: price the nonstop first. It removes a connection entirely.
- Fixed dates that don't fall on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday: compare one-stop options instead.
- In Nashville, British Airways plans daily service from London Heathrow.
- In San Diego, British Airways, KLM and Lufthansa all plan nonstops to their European hubs (Simple Flying).
- Continuing beyond Paris: compare total journey time across all the options. Air France is a SkyTeam alliance member (SAN), so partner connections through Paris are one path. They are not the only one.
Denver loses its Air France flight
The same network reshuffle ends Air France's CDG–Denver flights. Simple Flying reports they will not resume next year. Even so, Air France plans 20 U.S. routes from CDG next summer (Simple Flying).
Limits of this information
Frequencies for competing airlines come from schedule data that Simple Flying notes could still change. Exact dates, times and aircraft can shift before launch. Verify with the airline when you book.
